The Five Steps of Emotion Coaching Study Group for Parents
The research is clear: emotional intelligence (EQ) is one of the strongest predictors of our children’s future success. Emotional intelligence includes our ability to notice, regulate, understand, and make meaning of our emotions, and to know how to respond to them. These emotional skills help children delay gratification, focus more effectively, build healthy relationships, and practice empathy. EQ develops within real relationships, where emotions are experienced, expressed, and understood.
In the 5 two-hour study group, our facilitator will walk you through the Five Steps of Emotion Coaching developed by the Gottman Institute to support you with the tools and the confidence to foster emotional growth within the parent and child relationship. The Gottman Emotion Coaching Handbook will be provided to use during the course of the study group. Come and join us to be an emotion coaching parent.
