Across Québec and Canada, young people are experiencing rising levels of anxiety, depression, and relational stress. According to the Institut de la statistique du Québec, anxiety among secondary school students has more than doubled in the past decade. At the same time, research from the Institut national de santé publique du Québec highlights ongoing concerns around youth relational and sexual violence.
These challenges remind us that emotional wellbeing and healthy relationships cannot be taken for granted. While many parents want to support their children’s emotional development, few adults were ever taught the skills needed to navigate difficult emotions, communicate effectively, and sustain healthy committed relationships.
When adults learn to navigate emotions and conflict in healthy ways, they create the relational environment where children’s emotional intelligence can grow.
At Club Agilité Émotionnelle, we believe emotional intelligence grows through practice—especially within our closest relationships. Our programs create opportunities for families and communities to develop these skills together.
Why This Matters Now
Club Mission
Club Agilité Émotionnelle is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening emotional intelligence and relational wellbeing in families and communities.
Through research-informed workshops and community learning experiences, we help individuals, couples, and parents develop practical emotional and relational skills that support healthy committed relationships, effective communication, and resilient family systems.
By making these skills accessible beyond the therapy office, we aim to foster stronger partnerships, healthier families, and more emotionally resilient communities.
Theory of Change
When parents, caregivers, and couples develop strong emotional intelligence and relational skills, they are better able to navigate conflict, respond to emotions effectively, and build trust within their families.
By providing research-informed workshops, guided practice, and community learning experiences, Club Agilité Émotionnelle creates opportunities for adults to practice these skills in real-life relationships.
As a result, families experience healthier communication, stronger partnerships, and improved emotional resilience. Children raised in these emotionally supportive environments learn to regulate their own emotions, build empathy, and form healthy relationships—creating long-term positive outcomes for individuals and communities alike.
