Organization Philosophy

Club Agilité Émotionelle is a non-profit organization founded by professionals with a shared mission: to help individuals and families build emotional awareness and develop fulfilling, connected relationships. By normalizing emotional learning and practicing relationship skills within real-life interactions, we aim to foster healthier individuals, stronger families, and more connected communities.

Our Approach

We believe that emotional agility is the antidote to emotional dysregulation and relational distress.

Emotional agility is the ability to:

  • Experience emotions

  • Make sense of them

  • Respond in healthy, flexible, and relationally attuned ways

When individuals develop emotional agility, they are better able to form safe, resilient, and meaningful connections.

Our Model

We developed the Relational Emotional Agility Model (REAM) and the Emotional Agility Workout Program (Parent & Child Edition) drawing from research in:

  • Attachment theory

  • Emotional intelligence

  • Developmental psychology

  • Relational and relational-developmental systems theories

  • Evidence-based practices such as Emotion Coaching

Our work is grounded in one core principle:

Emotional agility is not learned in isolation—it is co-constructed through everyday emotional experiences within relationships.

The Relational Emotional Agility Model (REAM) Framework

The REAM organizes emotional development into four core developmental tasks:

These stages align with key phases of child development—infancy/toddlerhood, preschool, middle childhood, and adolescence—and reflect how emotional skills are progressively built through consistent relational support and practice. To operationalize this model, we developed the Emotional Agility Workout Program (Parent & Child Edition), in which parent practices are integral to facilitating children’s emotional growth. At the same time, the program supports parents in developing healthier meta-emotional perspectives by guiding them to become effective emotion coaches for their children.

What Makes Our Program Unique?

  • Dyadic, not individual: Skills are practiced within real relationships

  • Developmentally grounded: Aligned with how children grow

  • Research-informed: Integrates leading psychological frameworks

  • Practical and experiential: Focused on everyday emotional moments

Our Vision

We envision a community where:

  • Emotions are understood, not avoided

  • Relationships are safe, responsive, and resilient

  • Individuals are equipped to navigate life with emotional adaptability & maturity

By building emotional agility together, we build stronger relationships—and healthier communities.
